Cannabis sativa seed oil (hemp seed oil) is derived from the cleaned, cold-pressed seeds of the Cannabis sativa plant. It is rich in essential fatty acids — especially a balanced ratio of omega-6 (linoleic acid) to omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) — as well as vitamin E and antioxidants. Topically, it works as a lightweight emollient and skin conditioner: it helps hydrate without clogging pores, reduce inflammation and redness, strengthen the skin barrier (reducing water loss), and improve skin texture. Because it contains no THC or CBD, it doesn’t have psychoactive effects and is generally well tolerated even by sensitive or acne-prone skin.

Cetyl Alcohol is a long-chain fatty alcohol (also called 1-hexadecanol or palmityl alcohol) used in skincare and haircare mainly as an emollient, thickener, co-emulsifier, and stabilizer. It helps give creams and lotions a smooth, creamy texture; prevents separation of oil and water phases in formulations (so products don’t split); softens skin by forming a light film that helps reduce water loss; and contributes to rich textures without the drying effects of “simple” alcohols like ethanol. It’s generally safe and non-irritating, though a small number of people with very sensitive skin might react.

Cera Alba (beeswax) is a natural wax produced by honey bees, composed mainly of esters of fatty acids and long-chain alcohols. In skincare, it acts as an emollient, occlusive, and texture enhancer: it helps lock in moisture by forming a protective barrier, soothes and softens dry or irritated skin, stabilizes formulations (helps creams, balms, and lip products hold together), and also has mild antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. It’s generally well tolerated, though very rich or heavy formulations may feel occlusive, especially for oily or acne-prone skin

Lavandula angustifolia (English lavender) oil is a steam-distilled essential oil from the flowers of the lavender plant. Its main active compounds include linalool and linalyl acetate, which give it a calming fragrance and antioxidant-like properties. Topically, it’s used to soothe skin irritation, reduce redness, and help with inflammation. It’s also added for its relaxing scent in skincare, hair care, perfumes, and aromatherapy. Most skin types tolerate it well, though sensitivity, especially for very reactive or fragrance-intolerant skin, is possible.
